Kelela – Webster Hall – March 17, 2023

Deftly mixing electronic sounds and R&B, singer-songwriter and producer Kelela had already made quite a name for herself before her second long-player, Raven — “a sexy, sultry masterclass in R&B” — dropped last month, earning widespread acclaim. The album is terrific, but as everyone gathered at Webster Hall on Friday discovered, Kelela’s music is even better live.
