Brandi Carlile’s seventh studio album, 2021’s In These Silent Days, got so much love — “Carlile has long since proven herself constitutionally incapable of making a bad album, raves Entertainment Weekly. “She’s not about to start now” — that she reissued it last month with a companion disc of acoustic takes called In the Canyon Haze that “features new reimagined Laurel Canyon–inspired versions of each song from the original album plus a special rendition of David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity.’” And after touring this past summer, the singer-songwriter was in the Northeast over the weekend for a pair of dates, culminating over the course of nearly two-and-a-half hours on the big stage at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.
